Last week Olivia Jordan Miss Oklahoma USA was crowned Miss USA 2015 !! She won the judges over with her hot pink beautiful ball gown and her great answers. Before the top 5 was called i had no idea who would win. Once the final 5 started answering their questions it was evident that she would win. She competed well , was prepared and was worthy of the crown that night.

So I have finally decided to film a video for YouTube..that was the whole point of buying my Canon T3i right?? lol. I love the camera, and still getting used to it and figuring out who it works. I'm new to the whole YouTube thing, so I watched several YouTube videos about how to create thumbnails , how to have good lighting etc.... who knew there was so much that went into becoming A YouTube sensation. I attempted several times to film a vid , which were fails because I couldn't get lighting (filming at night) , didn't have a tripod , or didn't like my makeup lol.
The other day I started filming late afternoon the lighting was ok enough to film and I used a desk lamp and put a white piece of cloth over it , to make the lighting not as harsh . Also my makeup was on point that day , so it was the perfect time to film . I did a few takes and just put parts from both of the takes into one video. Editing a video for YouTube is a STRUGGLE ! People on youtube don't tell you this lol, you just see their videos , and don't realize the hours it probably took them to edit it to perfection. I probably took like 6 hours at least editing this video but, the end result was worth it !do
I realize why people buy ring lights or soft box lights, because lighting is literally everything especially if you're doing a tutorial.
On this channel , I will do beauty tutorials (try...to do beauty tutorials lol), talk about my obsessions with Tiaras, have interviews, pageant tips/advice , and anything else I can think of.

This has been a overdue post. Pageant season is in full swing (Yay ! ) . Miss USA state pageants are taking place all over the country . I went to go watch Miss NJ USA since I did not compete this year. Honestly I would love to go watch all of them (i know im obsessed ! ). or people that love pageants as much as me its pretty exciting !
This weekend is the Miss Universe pageant which this year will be held in Russia. Olivia Culpo will be passing over her crown to another lucky girl whose dreams will come true. It feels like yesterday Olivia was crowned Miss Universe . Olivia has been one of my fav Miss Universes yet. She is strikingly beautiful , and her back to back titles have made her A beauty Queen these last 2 years. I know this will not be the last we see of her. She has been such a great titleholder and she will be missed. The next girl has enormous shoes to fill .

I have been away for a while due to school starting back up , which has kept me super busy. However , of course I made time to watch the Miss America pageant and see the new winner be crowned. Nina Davuluri (Miss New York ) was crowned on Sunday in Atlantic City live on ABC. Millions watched the moment as her name was called and she took her first walk as Miss America. Before watching this pageants I really had no favorites. As soon As I saw on her TV her beauty stood out to me , and obviously to the judges also. Nina Davuluri is the first Indian American to be crowned Miss America , which has caused some negative reactions from people on social media. However, She is smart, beautiful and talented and that is what the Miss America system is all about . I am proud of her and am sure she will make a great Miss America.
Cassidy Wolf was crowned Miss Teen USA on August 10th in Atlantis Bahamas . The pageant was streamed online at missteenusa.com and many were tuned in to watch which girl would take the crown. That girl was Cassidy Wolf , she is 19 years from California , a dancer and a real life barbie doll (lol). There was a lot of buzz in the pageant world about her ever since she was crowned . She looked like a winner when she won her state now she has won Miss Teen USA.
This was a tough competion and the top 5 was in the for the win . The top 5 finalist were Minnesota , Georgia, West Virgina and the two left standing were South Carolina and California . Between WV , SC , and Cali I was not sure who was gonna win, all of these girls were stunning and had great answers.
Cassidy wore a stunning royal blue, strapless Mac Duggal gown (this color looks great on blondes !) and a orange swimsuit in the competition . California has been doing well the past few years when it comes to winning their national titles Alyssa Campanella (Miss USA 2012 ) and now Cassidy Wolf (Miss California Teen 2013 ) .Im sure she will be a great Miss Teen USA , and cant wait to see all the fun things she does this year. Miss USA 2013 aired live on NBC at 9pm on Sunday night. 51 gorgeous ladies competed for the prestigious title of Miss USA , and one walked away with the crown.I have to say that up until top 5 was announced, I had no idea of who was going to win. The Top 5 consisted of Miss Texas, Miss Utah, Miss South Carolina, Miss Alabama And Miss Connecticut . Miss Connecticut USA Erin Bray was the lucky lady that was the winner of the night. She answered her question great and wore a beautiful Tony Bowls white and gold strapless gown with the top covered in sparkles and crystals. It was definitely a interesting pageant to say the least lol, an this was a extremely string top 5 .Congrats to the new Miss USA 2013 Erin Brady !!!

The Miss USA prelims were on Thursday night , and I have to say I was blown away ! The contestants competed in Evening Gown and Swimwear. The contestants looked great , and I cant wait to see the live pageant on Sunday night on NBC . I have a few new favs since Prelims , and I cant wait to see who makes places in the semifinals. Its that time of year again ....Pageant time ! As always I like to post my predictions for the girls that are in the running for the crown. The Miss USA 2013 pageant is around the corner , and I can remember watching last years pageant like yesterday. The contestants have been chosen and all 51 girls will compete for the crown on June 16th 2013 live on NBC ! I was hoping to be able to go watch this year in person, but I will be watching it on TV like everyone else. I usually have predictions early on but , this year I have no idea . There hasn't been much buzz about alot of the contestants this year . However I do see all of the amazing cool stuff Miss Universe (Olivia Culpo) has been up to this year. I am interested to see who will take home the crown this year. There are a few returning former Teen winners this year , as well as alot of brunettes (am i the only one that noticed ? ,lol ) . I got the chance to interview the Gorgeous current Miss South Carolina USA 2013 Megan Pinckney !! I am always excited to post new beauty queen interviews on my blog . Megan is a former Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2010 and now she is on her way to compete at Miss USA !!! Its always great to see former Teen titleholders continue to compete for the Miss USA crown . This has been a overdue interview and the first with the new blog makeover !! Hope you enjoy getting to know this fabulous Beauty Queen,andsupport her as she prepares for Miss USA ! .
1. How did you first get started in the world pageantry?
MP: A woman approached my mom and I as we left Dillards back when I was in high
school. She suggested that I start competing. This woman eventually became my
first pageant director and helped make me Miss SC Teen USA 2010. Her and I
remain very very close
2. How did being Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2010 , help you prepare for the Miss South Carolina USA pageant ?
MP: Sometimes I felt like it hurt more than it
helped. Everyone saw me as a teen, not as an adult even though I was one of the
oldest teens to compete. But havin the experience did help me not be as nervous!
3.What is one thing about you that people wouldn't know ?
MP:I collect Vogue magazines. I have every issue
since 2005 !
4. What would you like to accomplish as Miss South Carolina USA 2013 ?
MP: I createda character-building program,
“Character begins with K” almost two years ago. It instills important skills
such as self-discipline, self-esteem, leadership skills, among other things in
children. I hope to have the opportunity to spread this program around SC and
hopefully around the nation!!!
5.What are you most looking forward to at Miss USA
2013 ? (tough one I know, lol)
MP: Wow, this is tough! Growing up I always watched
Miss USA and Miss America! Competing at Miss Teen USA was awesome, but this is
in an entirely bigger league. I think just actually competing is what I am most
excited about. Because I know that there will be soooo many girls sitting in
front of the TV dreaming about the day they get to do the same!
6. If you had one wish , what would be your
ultimate dream job?
MP: I have four dream jobs! My dream would be for
these to all lead into the next: Fashion magazine editor, Owner of a high end boutique, high end department store
buyer, and the President of a lifestyle brand!
7. Being a beauty queen, what is one of your Must-Have
beauty products?
MP: Eyeliner and mascara! If I wear nothing else,
those two things are always on!
8. Beauty queens are known for being glamorous and fashionable ,what would you say is your
fashion style ?
MP: I believe I have a very classic take on fashion,
with a little modern twist! For example, a simple shift dress…but with chunky
heels and hoop earrings :)

If you haven't heard by now (where have you been ? ,lol ) since the former Miss USA 2012 Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss Universe 2013 (yay !) her first runner up Nana Meriwether has officially taken her spot at Miss USA ! Nana Meriwether was Miss Maryland USA 2012 and first runner up at Miss USA 2012 ! Olivia being crowned was a double win for USA . I love Nana Meriwether and so glad to see a beautiful intelligent women live her dream out at Miss USA. Nana competed several times before winning her state title and is now Miss USA . It just shows if you want something bad enough and work hard anything is possible. As someone who is a Miss USA hopeful this is great to see. I know I am kind of late with this post but since school has started again , I have been super busy . If you haven't already heard or watched Miss America yourself , the new Miss America 2013 is Mallory Hagan ! Mallory Hagan represented New York in the Miss America Pageant on January 12th 2013 on ABC . She competed against 52 other beauties for this prestigious title . I am personally excited about her winning since I got the chance to interview her months before her taking the national title on this blog ! I dont know if that was a sign or maybe just good luck , lol. I wish Mallory the best of luck on her journey this year as she promotes her platform , volunteers, and enjoys all that is being Miss America. The Miss America pageant is this weekend live on ABC. Although , there hasn't been much publicity on this pageant as Miss USA , as a pageant girl I will still be watching . The winner of Miss America will spend the year volunteering with various charities and promoting her platform. Also she will win a scholarship for her education .
The 53 beauties will be judged based on talent , lifestyle and fitness, and evening gown ; by a celebrity studded judge panel.

Last night was Miss Universe , and I can just say it was a intense shocking show . Most of my top pic made it , but I was shocked when Miss USA walked away with the crown. It has been over 15 years since A Miss USA was crowned Miss Universe but Olivia Culpo, from Rhode Island has made history . Olivia sealed the deal with her answer to her final question which was flawless !! It was a great night for USA overall. Not only was the current Miss USA crowned Miss Universe but , the first runner up to Miss USA, Nana Meriwether (Miss Maryland USA 2012 ) will now be the reigning Miss USA !! Congratulations are in order for a awesome pageant this year.

Miss Universe 2012 is a day away ! (exciting ) and I have finally watched the preliminaries and picked some of my top 12 contestants . they are all beautiful and this was a hard , and I probably will change this while watching the Final Pageant .
