Miss South Carolina USA 2013 : Q&A Interview

 I got the chance to interview  the  Gorgeous  current Miss South Carolina USA 2013 Megan Pinckney !! I am always excited to post new beauty queen interviews on my blog . Megan is a former Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2010 and now she is on her way to compete at Miss USA !!!  Its always great to see former Teen titleholders continue to compete for the Miss USA crown . This has been a overdue interview and the first with the new blog makeover !! Hope you enjoy getting to know this fabulous Beauty Queen , and support her as she prepares for Miss USA !  . 

1. How did you first get started in the world pageantry?

MP:  A woman approached my mom and I as we left Dillards back when I was in high school. She suggested that I start competing. This woman eventually became my first pageant director and helped make me Miss SC Teen USA 2010. Her and I remain very very close


2.  How did being Miss South Carolina Teen USA 2010 , help you prepare for the Miss South Carolina USA pageant ?
 

MP: Sometimes I felt like it hurt more than it helped. Everyone saw me as a teen, not as an adult even though I was one of the oldest teens to compete. But havin the experience did help me not be as nervous!

3.What is one thing about you that people wouldn't know ?

MP: I collect Vogue magazines. I have every issue since 2005 !

4. What would you like to accomplish as Miss South Carolina USA 2013 ?

MP: I created a character-building program, “Character begins with K” almost two years ago. It instills important skills such as self-discipline, self-esteem, leadership skills, among other things in children. I hope to have the opportunity to spread this program around SC and hopefully around the nation!!! 

5. What are you most looking forward to at Miss USA 2013 ? (tough one I know, lol)

MP: Wow, this is tough! Growing up I always watched Miss USA and Miss America! Competing at Miss Teen USA was awesome, but this is in an entirely bigger league. I think just actually competing is what I am most excited about. Because I know that there will be soooo many girls sitting in front of the TV dreaming about the day they get to do the same!

 

   6. If you had one wish , what would be your ultimate dream job? 

    MP: I have four dream jobs! My dream would be for these to all lead into the next: Fashion magazine        editor, Owner of a high end boutique, high end department store buyer, and the President of a lifestyle   brand!

    7. Being a beauty queen, what is one of your Must-Have beauty products?

    MP: Eyeliner and mascara! If I wear nothing else, those two things are always on!

   8. Beauty queens are known for being glamorous  and fashionable ,what would you say is your fashion  style ? 

 

    MP: I believe I have a very classic take on fashion, with a little modern twist! For example,                     a  simple  shift dress…but with chunky heels and hoop earrings :)
