I have been away for a while due to school starting back up , which has kept me super busy. However , of course I made time to watch the Miss America pageant and see the new winner be crowned. Nina Davuluri (Miss New York ) was crowned on Sunday in Atlantic City live on ABC. Millions watched the moment as her name was called and she took her first walk as Miss America. Before watching this pageants I really had no favorites. As soon As I saw on her TV her beauty stood out to me , and obviously to the judges also. Nina Davuluri is the first Indian American to be crowned Miss America , which has caused some negative reactions from people on social media. However, She is smart, beautiful and talented and that is what the Miss America system is all about . I am proud of her and am sure she will make a great Miss America.
