Leila Lopes , the new Miss Universe wants to help her country!

To celebrate the crowning of the new Miss Universe Leila Lopes ,  I thought I would make a couple of post about the newly crowned queen. Leila Lopes is a 25 year old native of Angola . Leila Lopes was crowned Miss Angola on October 8, 2010. She competed with 88 girls for the title. She has also been active helping  her community as Miss Angola, and now that she is Miss Universe she only wants to accomplish more.“I’ve worked with various social causes. I work with poor kids, I work in the fight against HIV. I work to protect the elderly and I have to do everything that my country needs,” she said. “I think now as Miss Universe I will be able to do much more.” Leila Lopes stated. Leila is the fifth contestant from an african country to win the Miss Universe crown. She will now live in New York city with the current Miss USA and Miss Teen USA , and be involved with charitable organizations over the world.
